Human Resources Officer

Full Time

Reports to: Manager – HR
Job Summary
You will be responsible for providing real time day-to-day human resources advisory, administration
& support.
Specific responsibilities

HR MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION
 Provide employees and managers with an always available first point of contact for questions,guidance and advise on HR matters
 Manage external and internal recruitment activities, including, inviting candidates for
interviews, timely background checks, reference checks and candidates interview feedback
and run with new employees on boarding process
 Offer HR services like leave management, medical scheme administration, introduction lettersto 3rd parties, staff recommendation letters etc
 Ensure all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported and resolved in a timely manner and using effective channels
 Work with the management team to develop and coordinate training programs training
assessment needs and post training evaluations
 Lead development of HR initiatives to improve productivity and commitment to the
organization
 Streamlining and continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures and policies where need be
 Ensure an open motivated and harmonious work environment and implement change and culture interventions
 Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on interpretation and consistent
application of policies and procedures.
 Encourage and reinforce organization values

RECORD KEEPING & DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
a) Maintain excellent and up-to-date records and files (forms, approvals, requisitions) for all staff in relation to: -Personal files, Recruitment, Leave, Training, Performance Management, Benefits, Payroll and Exit

Requirements and qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Social Sciences or any other business-related field
 Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a HR generalist
 Must be a valid and active member of the Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM)
 Have Knowledge of best and current human resource practices and approaches
 Knowledge of the Kenyan Labour Laws
