IDEO.org is a nonprofit design studio on a mission to design a more just and equitable world. We partner with nonprofit organizations, foundations, and governments to design programs, products, and services focused on improving health, economic mobility, and wellbeing.
IDEO.org has an opportunity for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Global Brand & Communications team. This role will be responsible for the management and measurement of the IDEO.org digital footprint and serve as a key content creator out of the Nairobi studio.

You will

• Develop measurable strategies and determine KPIs for all digital platforms including social media, mailchimp, websites, and microsites
• Partner with developers on technical updates to the IDEO.org website, as well as content updates with the team
• Support content development for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)
• Develop marketing copy for campaigns, collateral, and newsletters
• Manage and track monthly Google analytics reporting and adwords
• Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
• Manage the Design Kit platform, IDEO.org’s suite of publications, tools, and courses for practicing human-centered design
• Manage Amazon Seller account and track monthly business reports for our products and tools (Field Guide and Travel Pack) in collaboration with the accounting team
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure brand consistency on all external-facing communications
• Manage internal digital marketing processes, such as microsite management
• Proactively stay abreast of the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices
• Contribute to IDEO.org studio culture

About You

• You’re a great writer comfortable crafting compelling marketing copy across a range of mediums
• You’re deeply knowledgeable and insightful about digital marketing approaches with experience using data and metrics to measure impact
• You’re able to switch seamlessly between self-directed independent work and highly collaborative teamwork
• You’re passionate about tackling some of the world’s most complex social challenges—like reproductive health access, refugee rights, and financial inclusion—and are excited about the role design and creativity can play in solving them
• You’re proactive and organized, but comfortable with ambiguity and aren’t afraid when things get a little messy
• You are mindful of cultural nuances, and open to feedback from people with different points of view
• You prioritize well and are able to manage multiple projects at once
