PUBLIC COMMUNICATION OFFICER II –ONE (1) POST – V/No. 86/2021
Basic Salary Scale:Ksh.31,270 – Ksh.41,260 p.m.(CSG 11)
House Allowance: Ksh.4, 200 – 10, 000 (Depending on duty station)
Commuter Allowance: Ksh.4, 000p.m.
Leave allowance : As existing in the Civil Service
Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year
Medical Cover: As provided by the government
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following fields Mass Communication, Public Relations, Communication Studies, Journalism, International Relations, Social Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from a d University recognize in Kenya;
This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An Officer at this level will be deployed in a Public Communications Office to assist in the Public Communication function. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
information gathering on topical issues with the Ministry
verifying authenticity of the information and editing; and
dispatching the information for dissemination to the public and media under the guidance of a senior officer
